Electricity networks in Australia
Every business site connects to one electricity distribution network — the business that owns the poles and wires in that area. The network is set by the site's address, not by the retailer chosen, and its regulated charges are passed through on every plan.
Retailers compete on the retail part of the bill. Knowing the network helps you read a quote, check that a plan is actually offered at your address, and understand why the same retailer can advertise different rates in different parts of a state.
Which network is my site in?
Enter the postcode of the supply address and we'll name the distribution network that serves it, with a link to the business plans advertised there.

Not sure which network covers a site?
The network follows the site's address, so the quickest way to confirm it is to check the postcode with the network finder, or check a recent electricity bill for the site: the distributor name usually appears near the supply address or in the network charges section. If you upload the bill, the comparison will use the site's own details and the plans available there.
Network pages by state
Each page sets out the area the network covers, the regulated side of the bill that every retailer passes through, and the business plans currently advertised in that network. For the state-level picture, see the business electricity price index or a state page:
